Turbine Garden Art

During the winter months when the garden becomes dormant I notice and enjoy our garden art even more. With no flowers and very few leaves to compete with the garden art objects take on a new role, they are center stage. The above picture is of a collection of salvaged wind turbines, used on roof tops to help with venting. The turbine spins when exposed to wind, making it a wonderful item to display in the garden.

We mount them on stands of different heights and designs which creates more interest as they are placed throughout the garden. I especially like the older ones with rust and some that have acquired a soft green patina. On a breezy day I can look around the garden and witness the beautiful spinning of these turbines... helps me get through the winter months until the flowers and leaves take center stage again. Happy Gardening All! it will be Spring before we know it :)
