By request I have put down my trowel and washed the dirt from my hands so I can share a little of my creative world with you. The Creative Gardener was created out of the desire to combine all of my passions. Gardening, teaching, designing, writing, decorating and treasure hunting. This all takes place at my little red house with the white pickett fence surrounded by my garden that grows wild and happy!

Garden Project
Today we completed a garden project that we have been wanting to do. Because of the amount of foot traffic that our garden gets there is an area where the grass just will not grow very well and has the tendency to become muddy during rainy weather. We solved the problem with exposed aggregate concrete landings. They are larger then stepping stones and of different sizes, we don't care for anything too expected or perfect. We used wine barrel rings, concrete and small round pebbles in pretty colors. The project turned out well. Tomorrow we are adding new grass and some wooly time ground cover to fill in around the stones. One project done, many many more to go...

Looks Great. Can hardly wait to see it. You two work great together.
It looks like quite a bit of work. But it looks like it turned out really great. Enjoy.
GO you two!! It looks good. How energetic after your weekend. I like your comment about not liking things too perfect; that's what I keep saying about my big brick job.
Those are perfect! My brother makes them too. Those barrel rings are handy for a lot of great projects(-:
