What could be better?

I love what I do! They came, they brought beautiful flowers, they created beautiful, creative containers in celebration of Earth Day! I want to share a few pictures of the latest Creative Gardener Gathering. In the future I am going to assign someone to take pictures for me, I get so busy at times that I just grab the camera and snap a few shots quickly so they are not always the best pictures... and there are some photo worthy things going on around here! This first picture is of the flowers as they began to come in. I have a cute four shelf flower cart that was a gift from my friend Dana, I thought we would use it to hold the flowers, there were so many flowers a table had to go up too! The best part of this activity is the variety, it is like you get set lose in a nursery and get to create with any flowers you wish, we even had some wonderful fragrant herbs too! The guest brought all kinds of creative containers to plant in. I saw wood boxes, lots of metal buckets, Lani brought a wonderful old rusty metal drawer, Cindy had a smashed sap bucket that turned out great! She wouldn't sell it! There were lots of old enamel buckets and pots, this group are my customers so I would not expect any thing less then rusty, creative and fun.
One of the benefits of becoming a Creative Gardener is at each event we set up a tent display of vintage and created items for purchase. It is so much fun and rewarding to
watch as everyone chooses new things for their gardens, we really appreciate the support from all of you, some of you have been our loyal customers for 20 years! and many are new friends we have been meeting at our recent shows.. it has truly become a gathering of kindred spirits. I try to set up the displays with a different look each time, putting in touches that have to do with our latest theme, this months was flowers so I added several little vintage items that had to do with flora and highlighted James' iron flowers with the colorful faucet turn centers. We had a great evening, it is always a pleasure to visit with such fine people, share stories and snack
on good food and tip a glass of wine together. Thank you so much everyone for your continued support on this dream come true of mine! Until next months gathering I leave you with this tip( don't let me use the camera after a glass of Merlot!)  Thanks for dropping by~Jacque
