By request I have put down my trowel and washed the dirt from my hands so I can share a little of my creative world with you. The Creative Gardener was created out of the desire to combine all of my passions. Gardening, teaching, designing, writing, decorating and treasure hunting. This all takes place at my little red house with the white pickett fence surrounded by my garden that grows wild and happy!

Container Gardening
We will plant in just about anything and just about anything can be a planter! All you really need is for the container to have good drainage and a drill can usually provide that. Just put holes in the bottom of what ever you choose to plant in, layer the bottom with rocks or any material that will work like a filter so the soil will not clog the holes, fill with your planting soil and plant, plant, plant. This box was found at a flea market, it is galvanized metal with a vented lid. I do not know what its original purpose was but it is working great as a planter!

I love seeing different and unusual planters. The only thing keeping me from using them is lack of space. Condo equals small garden space:( Yours are great!!
My favorite kind of container gardening!(-:
